Friends of the Library

The Downers Grove Friends of the Library are members of the community whose active support has provided the library with funds for audiobooks, children’s summer reading clubs, programs, and more.

Besides their special gifts, the Friends also sponsor ongoing activity groups that are open to all and enrich the entire community.

• Writers Workshop meets the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room.

• Adventures in Travel Series is held the 3rd Friday of the month, September through June, at 7:30 p.m. in the Meeting Room. Check the Programs page for the latest offerings.

A non-profit, volunteer organization, FOL is supported primarily by dues and contributions from its membership. To join the Friends of the Library, complete the membership form and return it to the library.

The FOL Board meets the 4th Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the Conference Room.
