Seeking individual to provide technical support of in-house computer services, including Windows 2003/2008 servers, public and staff workstations running Windows XP and Mac OS 10, iPads, networked printers and other peripherals, and the wireless network. Diagnoses and resolves hardware and software problems; performs basic hardware and software maintenance; installs, configures, and maintains new and existing computer hardware and software; maintains Windows profiles, group policies, and active directory; and troubleshoots issues related to the public computer and print management system. Provides technical assistance to staff and patrons working on public computers.
Requires knowledge of computer networking concepts, personal computer hardware, Windows OS and common applications; good communication and interpersonal skills; good organizational skills; the ability to deal with multiple tasks effectively and efficiently and to work as part of a team; and the physical ability to lift, climb, stoop, kneel, and crawl.
Must have at least two years of relevant experience working with computers. Prefer college or technical training in computer science, and experience with Web technology and software desirable.
This is a part-time position of 18 hours per week that requires a flexible schedule to work days, evenings, and weekends. Minimum starting pay: $14.38/hour.
