Introduction to Circuits

Saturday, April 23, 2016 -
10:00am to 2:00pm
Learn the basics of electricity, and how it flows through a circuit and powers everyday life! This fun workshop will teach participants about the different types of circuits, such as the difference between a conductor and an insulator. At the end of this course students will have built their own circuit to take home!

Receive one-on-one assistance filling out FAFSA forms from an Illinois Student Assistance Commission representative.  Registered students will be contacted prior to their appointment with their individual check in time, and information on what documents to bring.

Graffiti Art for Teens

10:00am to 12:00pm
Graffiti art is a very specialized art form, and a great way for artists to tell visual stories throughout the community.  In this program, you will learn to draw graffiti style!  Participants will learn about the elements of space, color, and value, while learning about street artists and writing graffiti style.  Everyone will also make their own temporary street art piece.  Students will receive a sketchbook, and will be provided with all necessary supplies.
