We'll meet at the library to discuss A House in the Sky by Amanda Lindhout.
Growing up in a small town in Canada, Amanda Lindhout dreamed of exploring the world. After travelling from Venezuela to Afghanistan, Lindhout decided to pursue a career as a journalist. During a trip to Somalia, she and her photojournalist companion were kidnapped and held for 15 months by young Somali bandits. Suffering brutal treatment, Lindhout survived by imagining herself in a house in the sky. A powerful story of courage, forgiveness, and strength.
Books are available at the Ask Us Desk one month before each discussion. Registration is not required.
