Come share a story with some good doggy
listeners. Therapy Dogs will be here in the program room to listen to children
read stories to them. Reading to these dogs can improve children's reading and
communication skills while also being fun!
We'll meet at the library to discuss The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd.
A powerful and sweeping historical novel inspired by the life of early abolitionist and suffragist Sarah Grimké. Set in Charleston in the early 1800s, the novel traces the intertwined fates of Grimké and her imagined slave, Hetty, exploring the nation's painful history of slavery through the women's struggles for liberation, empowerment, and expression.
Books are available at the Ask Us Desk one month before each discussion. Registration is not required.
