January

Happy New Year
2009 is Lincoln’s bicentennial year.  To learn more about Lincoln’s life check out this list of new books about Lincoln in the Junior Room or visit the Lincoln Bicentennial website.

Next month is Lincoln’s 200th birthday and the Junior Room will be celebrating with quizzes and more.  Stop by in February for your chance to win a giant Lincoln penny.

In January enter our annual Bookmark Contest and design a bookmark – winners will be selected in February and used in the library all year long.  Also, independent readers can enter our Chicago Wolves Hockey – Read to Succeed contest during the month of January for a chance to win hockey tickets and Wolves prizes.  Stop by the Junior Room to enter.

If you have bookmarked our popular How to Write a Bibliography page, it has moved.  Find it on our website here.
