Memories of Downers Grove
To celebrate the village’s 175th anniversary, the library asked patrons to share some favorite memories of Downers Grove.

Have a Wild Time with Brookfield Zoo Passes
Reserve one of the five Brookfield Zoo passes available to Downers Grove Public Library cardholders year-round.  The passes allow up to four individuals free admission to the Brookfield Zoo.  Parking is not included.  Passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis and specific dates cannot be reserved.  Passes can be checked out for seven days and can be used multiple times during those seven days.

You can reserve a pass though our online catalog by typing Downers Grove Library Brookfield Zoo Pass. Downers Grove cardholders can put a hold on the passes online or by calling (630) 960-1200. Visit the Circulation Desk for more information.

The Library and the Patriot Act
The attempt to amend the current Patriot Act failed by a small margin. It is the policy of the Downers Grove Public Library, as well as State law under the Illinois Library Records Confidentiality Act, that all records of an individual’s use of the library are confidential. However, library patrons should be aware that Section 215 of the U.S.A. Patriot Act gives Federal agents the ability to seek a secret search warrant to obtain access to library records.
