Somebody Up There Hates You by Hollis Seamon

Seventeen-year-old Richard’s recent transfer from the oncology ward to hospice signifies he has less than one month to live.  The utter finality of this diagnosis causes him to coin the term SUTHY Syndrome (Somebody Up There Hates You).  But as he is about to discover, there is a lot of adventure, love, and self-discovery to be had in a month.  This bittersweet story told from the perspective of an honest and sarcastically hilarious teenager is a great bet for fans of John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars. ~Lynette Pitrak
