CD Reviews

Indestructible by The Disturbed
Reviewed by Emily
Disturbed's newest album is their best album ever. Though not as heavy as their earlier works, the music has better melodies and the solos are AMAZING! The album includes their hit single "Inside the Fire." If you want to listen to a Disturbed album, definitely choose this one!

***** Arular; Kala by M.I.A.

M.I.A. is certainly not missing in action. In fact, she's providing the action. No matter what CD you choose, you'll find an upbeat dance CD, but not your everyday dance. Its genre is classified under World/Dance at Border's. Besides that you can dance your heart out, M.I.A. gives political messages too. After living in Sri Lanka and moving to England, she has seen political horror. Even while in concert on Nov. 24 in Chicago, she said, "I'm tired of being denied access to your country. I'm not a terrorist." Definitely a must-listen.

Good song. It has been stuck in my head for at least two weeks.

***** Achtung Baby by U2
Reviewed by Emily
Widely considered one of the Irish rock group U2's three masterpieces, Achtung Baby is a turn away from their more traditional work in the 1980s, setting the stage for their experimental 1990s work in Zooropa, Original Soundtracks 1, and Pop. Achtung Baby has tracks that speak to the heart, like "One" and "Ultraviolet," and faster, energetic songs like "The Fly" and "Even Better Than the Real Thing."
