ACT/SAT Practice Tests
The library is teaming up with Kaplan Test Prep to offer free proctored ACT and SAT practice tests. Kaplan will return scores with analyzed results. Registration is accepted online only .
The ACT will be offered from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on:
Saturday, July 10
Saturday, August 14
Saturday, Sept. 25
and from 5-9 p.m. on:
Friday, August 13
The SAT will be offered from 9:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. on:
Saturday, Sept. 18
Saturday, Oct. 2
Bring multiple #2 pencils, an approved calculator, and a healthy snack. The tests are open to high school students with Downers Grove library cards. There is a limit of 24 students per test.

Teen Rock and Read Concert
Celebrate your success in the teen summer reading club during the Teen Rock & Read concert on Saturday, August 7 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Musicians in grades 7 to 12 who sing, play an instrument, or are part of a band are encouraged take the stage in the library’s meeting room. You’ll get the spotlight and your fans, friends, siblings, and parents will see your talents shine. Sign up by July 31 online or in person at the Circulation Desk. If you are interested in performing, email Lynette Pitrak by July 19.
First Fridays for Teens
Teens in 7th – 12th grade who live in Downers Grove are invited to join us at the library from 7 to 8 p.m. for these events. Register online or at (630) 960-1200. Walk in participation always welcome!

The library is looking for a team to help create and run a teen Facebook page. If you are interested in reviewing books, music, and movies or talking about events occurring in the library or community, this is the club for you! Anyone from grades 7 to 12 is welcome to apply.
